Second Life is a 3D online digital world imagined and created by its residents. SLMDT Performance Group uses Second Life as an obsticle to explore and experiment with space, installation and performance. Coming from the field of architecture, the four members engage in projects that creates simultaneous activities and spatial extensions.

On the 23rd of September, the theatre at the Steirischer Herbst festival in Graz will inaugurate the birth of a new community and a new architecture in Second Life. The event branches over four cities in the world and four islands in Second Life. To the sounds of clappering keyboards, bells and yaps the fragmented spaces will be neatly folded together into an elated countdown in the Graz theatre.

SLMDT performance group will be curating a First Life/Second Life event that will be held in Graz, Austria on the 23 september 2007. The group was assigned the main theatre stage of the Steirischer Herbst arts festival, but has broken out of the black box limitations of the theatre space and is going to span over four sims in second life and four continents in Real life.
